Sandy (Keely) Meusburger, 57, of Andover Kansas lost her battle to cancer on April 3rd, 2024.
She was born on February 17th, 1967 in Ft. Benning, Georgia, to Gary and Julie (McHone) Keely.
Sandy was a 1985 graduate of Andover High School in Andover, Kansas. After high school, her family moved to Iowa where she met and married Kenny Meusburger on August 7th of 1987 in Maxwell, Iowa. There, she worked a variety of small jobs and baked cakes on the side. Her primary role was being a mother to Jon and Keely. After 25 years of marriage, she returned home to Andover. Once returned home, she worked at Stearman field before finding a career as a postal carrier for the US Post office in Andover.
Sandy was a very outgoing, hardworking, and fearless person. Her fighting spirit has shown through the last year of her life during her battle with cancer. Everyone has a memory with Sandy in it. She was known as “the fun aunt”, “the baby whisperer”, and was a second mom to Jon and Keely's friends. She was known as “Nanny” by her granddaughter Adaline, a role which she took very seriously. To her friends, she was the one who you could call when you needed help and she was the life of every party. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, going to concerts, landscaping, cooking for others, crafting, and cake decorating. All with a cup of coffee in her hand.
She is survived by her children Jon Meusburger, Keely (Adam) Pennington, and her Granddaughter Adaline. Her mother Julie, and brother Chuck. As well as uncles, aunts, cousins, many nephews, and nieces in both Iowa and Kansas. Sandy is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Hugh and Gayle Mchone, her father Gary Keely and two aunts, Jo Nelson And Beverly Anderson.
