Audrey Wilma (Lamkins) Bennett

Audrey Wilma (Lamkins) Bennett, passed peacefully from this life at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice on January 9, 2026. Audrey was born on June 3, 1939  to the late Troy Lamkins and Corinne Saylor in Great Bend, KS. She was married to Gene Bennett for 62 years. She was a telephone operator for many years for AT&T and Southwestern Bell in Great Bend Ks., Hutchinson Ks., Amarillo Tx., and Wichita Ks. She enjoyed cooking, crafting and sewing and was a member of several sewing clubs. She especially enjoyed teaching the children to sew at the Mt. Hope Senior Center. She is survived by children Michael Bennett, Gail (Charles) Ely and Kevin (Catherine) Bennett. Grandchildren Jon (Jenesis), Trey (Brianna), Amanda(Skyler), Emma(Logan), Sylvia and Adelyn. Great-grandchildren Zoey, Eden, Brody, Caden, Piper, Dawson, Juniper, Remi and River. Memorial established with Mount Hope United Methodist Church. Service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 1:00 at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, 105 S King St, Mt Hope, KS 67108
