Bibiana Chestnut

Bibiana Mary Chestnut, aged 69, passed away on March 9, 2025, in Wichita, KS. She was born in Brookville, PA on February 11, 1956, and was a devout member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in McPherson KS.

Bibiana graduated from Penn State University and was known for her God-fearing, selfless, and independent personality. She dedicated herself to charitable causes, particularly focusing on children and prisoners. Her hobbies included quilting and crochet, through which she expressed her creativity and generosity.

She is survived by her mother, Helen Chestnut; brothers, Michael (Candy), Charles Jr. (Diane), Paul, and David (Katelynn) Chestnut; sisters, Carol, Barbara, Jeanette, Patricia (Jody) Castro, and Helen (John) Kempski. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Chestnut Sr., and sister, Donna Chestnut.

A Rosary will be recited beginning at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025 and the Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2025 both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (3642 N. Ridge Road, Wichita, Kansas 67205).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105) honoring Bibiana's commitment to aiding children in need.
