Calelynn Nicole Shinn, 30, passed away on May 11, 2024. She was a bit of a wild child who had no fear and would try anything once, she even jumped off a rope swing into a river where she knew there were alligators. She had an infectious smile and a bit of an old hippie soul, she loved music new and old, but was really drawn to artists like The Beatles, Loretta Lynn, and Patsy Cline. Calelynn also loved the outdoors, fishing – though she wouldn’t touch the worm or fish, camping, and hiking with her daughter Zoey. She was a jokester, always finding ways to make others smile and a bit of a prankster as her sister Myranda remembers “Cale” as her biggest bully, and her biggest supporter. Calelynn was a very loving and accepting person who allowed her friends and family to be who they were and love them without conditions.
She is preceded in death by brother, Justin Shinn; aunt, Wanda “Sissy” Haskin.
Caleynn is survived by her parents, Christie and Lloyd Newman; children Zoey and Theo; siblings, Myranda Newman, Jeremy Shinn, Tiffany Spencer, and Teri Jo Spencer; biological father, Jerry Shinn and stepmother, Stephanie Lyons.
