Cathy Christy

Cathy Christy, age 69 of Mt Hope KS, passed away on Wednesday July 1st, 2026. Cathy was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love and sense of humor shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She spent many years working in retail, where her kindness, patience, and ability to make people feel welcome made her a familiar and comforting presence.
Cathy was also a proud member of the American Legion, finding purpose and community among fellow members. She gave her time generously, supporting events, lending a hand when needed, and building friendships that lasted throughout her life.
Cathy is survived by Sister Patricia Davis-Rowe of Elk City KS, Daughters Heather (Tyreese) Alexander of Wichita KS, Kylie (Cole) Gray of Anna TX, Son Charles (Davanee) Bondi of Edmond OK. Grandchildren Sage, Devon, Kayman, Kenyon, Peyton, Jet, Makya, and Ocean. Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. 
Cathy is preceded in death by her Parents Frank and Irene Hughes, Brother Jimmy Hughes, and Sister Sandy Olson.
