Christine (Christy) Laurel Johnson-Warfel 

May 9, 1974 - April 24, 2025 

After fighting with everything she had for almost seven years, battling Leukemia, Christy was reunited with her father, John Johnson and her mother, Kathleen Vento on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. She passed peacefully and was not alone. She was born in Ventura, California and raised in Hays and Wichita, Kansas.

She had worked in retail and food and beverage most of her life.  Her greatest moments in life were being a loving and loyal Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. 

Christy is survived by: husband, Eric Warfel; sons, Chance Wilkinson, William Bergman & his wife Kasey Bergman and step-son, Dominic Warfel; daughters, Katy Bergman and Brianna Hull; eight amazing grandchildren; mother-in-law, Joyce Kirkendoll; brother, Jeff Johnson; sister, Bridget; and her 6 fur babies.

Christy had lots of friends who she loved like family.  She took pride in her tattoos and piercings. She was always happiest when spending time with her family during holidays or just hanging out. Christy’s hobbies were, coloring and painting pictures, cooking, and watching her TikTok.

Christy was one of the strongest people I ever met, fighting with all she had until the bitter end, to spend as much time as possible with us. She will be missed until she welcomes us home as well..
