Daniel Michael Bennett, 68 years old, went to be with the Lord, Monday February 3, 2025. Dan was born December 26, 1956, in Wichita, KS to Peggy and Fletcher Bennett, Jr. Dan had a heart of gold, was immersed in the Bible/teachings, and he always looked for opportunities to share that love and passion with others. Taking after Daniel Webster Griffin (Gramps) – He was always the preacher of the Good Word. After graduating from Circle High School and a few college courses, Dan joined the Army and spent some of his service time in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. Once discharged he worked for over 30 years with Boeing/Spirit in the paint department until his retirement. He loved God, family, music, and sitting by his fireplace.
Dan struggled with diabetes which took its’ toll on his heart, eyes and kidneys. He is now whole again with clear sight as he has reunited with those that have gone before him – Father; Fletcher Bennett, Jr., Grandparents, Aunt Betty, Aunt Sylvia/Uncle Bill. Survived by: Mother Peggy Neal Bennett, sister Cindy Harmon (Larry), brother Shawn Bennett (Sheryl) and many nieces/nephews/cousins. Wife Suzanne Michelle Bennett, son Derek Bennett (Sarah), step-sons Jeff Cole & Jeffrey Heeter, guardian son Jimmy Robinson.
Dan’s father, Fletcher G. Bennett, Jr. died March 14, 2025. A combined celebration of Life will be held February 24th 10 A.M. at Immanuel Baptist Church 1415 S Topeka St., Wichita, KS. Daniel Michael & Fletcher Gordon will be honored with a Military Burial at Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery located at 1208 N College St. in Winfield, KS on February 24th at12 noon.
