Donna Ramoz Obituary

Donna Sue Ramoz, 73, loving wife, mom, grandma, and granny passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 surrounded by her family.  She was born on July 29, 1952 in Oklahoma. She was a retired dietary aide for the Cheney Golden Age Home as well as a Homemaker.  She loved antiquing, frequenting garage sales, bargain shopping, and was well known as the “Coupon Queen”.  God was the center of Donna’s life.  Her faith was foundational to everything she did.  She was a prayer warrior with a servant’s heart for those in need.

By divine design, Shawn and Donna met at Hilcrest Heights Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  They married in that church on December 16, 1978. It was an answer to Donna’s 3-year-old daughter’s, Angela, nightly prayer for a Daddy.  Shawn was not only an answer to that young child’s prayer but filled the gap that Donna longed for to have a godly, loving, and devoted husband.  God was always the forefront to their family.  Their union would have celebrated 47 years of marriage this December. Eric and Shiyrah were later born to complete this family of five.  The early years were in Oklahoma City but better job opportunities brought the Ramoz family to Kansas.  Kansas is where Donna finished raising her children, became a grandmother many times over, and even a great-grandmother known as granny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Donald and Eva Leona Fisher.  Sisters; Bertha Mae Hesser and Wilma Houck.  Donna is survived by her loving husband of 47 years; Ascension “Shawn”.  Children; Angela Pruitt, Eric (Stephanie) Ramoz, and Shiyrah (Shadow) Williams.  Grandchildren; Lauren, Dalton (Alyssa), Todd, Hank, Aspen, Abrielle, Axel, Aldin, and Lexianna.  Great grandchildren; Molly, Zoey, Jaymen, and Lenny. Brother-in-laws; Bob Hesser and Dwayne Houck.  Several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at Cheney Baptist Church.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association at 535 W. Douglas, Suite 150, Wichita, KS 67213.

**Flowers that are ordered may be delivered to the church**
