Edward "Ed" Albers Obituary

Ed J. Albers, 82, loving husband, father, grumpa passed away on Friday, August 1, 2025 surrounded by his family. Ed was a farmer, carpenter and propane salesman and a life long member of St. Rose Parish and a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He was a proud U.S. veteran, serving in the Kansas Air National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents; Joe & Virginia (Eck) Albers. Parents-in-law; Joe & Rose (Helten) Brost. Sister-in-law; Dorothy (Metzen) Albers and brothers-in-law; Jerome Brost and Jerry Cleary. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 58 years; Dolores. His children; Michelle (Tibor) Mohacsi, Chris (Maria) Albers, Ann (Scott) Frey, Matt (Jessa) Albers, Amy (Layne) Schroeder, Jaci (Mike) Bell, David (Suzanne) Albers and Kelli (Wil) Charles.29 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Siblings; Mary Jane (Rollie) Elpers, Bob (Betty) Albers, Don Albers, Gina (Don) Hommertzheim and Annette (Dave) Smalley. Recitation of the rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 and the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 both at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cheney, Ks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Rose Catholic Church Building Fund 4813 NE 150th Avenue Cheney, Kansas 67025.
