Gary McGee

Gary McGee was peacefully surrounded by his glory on September 22, 2024

Born April 11, 1939 to Dwight and Mary McGee. He was one of seven siblings. He grew up in Protection, Ks where is high school football coach nicknamed him "Whitey" because his hair was sun bleached from working in the hay fields. He married Viva Morgan from Coldwater, Ks in February 1961. They resided in Protection. Along came their daughter Lisa in 1962. They moved to Wichita, Ks in 1965 where he worked in industrial equipment sales. In 1978 he ventured out on his own and started a business in compressed air, Air Capital Equipment, a successful business, still family owned. Gary retired in 2001 to enjoy riding his harley and early tee times.

Gary's biggest passion was his Lord Jesus Christ. He was an active church member, led and participated in many bible studies and groups. He memorized many verses and was reciting them to the end.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dwight and Mary McGee, Sister Jo Ann Daily, brothers Garth, Lyman and Lyndol McGee

Gary is survived by his wife Viva, daughter Lisa McGee, sister Nancy Hoffmans, brother David (Marcia) McGee and a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Gary's life will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, 10:00 am at Central Community Church Chapel, 6100 West Maple Street, Wichita, Ks  67209
