Gerald D. "Jerry" Engelbrecht, 81, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at his home in Andale surrounded by his family. He was born in Wichita on October 11, 1942 to Wick and Helen Engelbrecht. After graduating from Andale High School in 1960, he joined the military and served our country for 4 years. After his military service, he went to work for Cessna Aircraft and retired after 42 years. He was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and catch rattlesnakes, all the while farming on his family's farm. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years; Annette. Children; Yvonne (Michael) Murphy, Jerad (Elizabeth) Engelbrecht and Jason (Stephanie) Engelbrecht. Sister; Jan (Charlie) Winter. 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Recitation of the rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th and the funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 11th both at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Andale, Kansas.
