Glen L Mourning

Glen L. Mourning, 82, passed away on August 7, 2024. He was born in Mound Valley, Kansas to John and Elsie Mourning on September 3, 1941. Glen married Joyce Wolke on October 12, 1968, and together they had three children, Lori, Vicki, and Eric. Glen was a machinist at Blanchat Machine in Wichita for 42 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie Mourning; brother, Donald Mourning.

Glen is survived by his wife, Joyce Mourning; daughters, Lori (Russ) Becker, Vicki (Lynn) Lexow; son, Eric (Dana) Mourning; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way; sister, Daisy (Gene) White.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 7:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Garden Plain, KS, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM, Monday August 12, 2024, also at the church.

Memorial Contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Anthony’s Pro-Life Outreach.
