Harold Dean Foster, 77, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, May 18, 2026. He was born in Pratt, Kansas to Joe & Clara (King) Foster. He began his career painting grain elevators, and later expanded to supervising residential, commercial, and industrial painting jobs. When he wasn't working, he loved hunting, fishing, wood-working, and spending time with his friends and family. There isn't anything he loved more than his wife and children, and he always did whatever was necessary to ensure they were taken care of.
Harold was a fun man with many jokes. He will be remembered for his kind heart and his outgoing nature. He spoke to strangers like they were long-time friends and always knew how to make those around him smile and laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings; Leo Foster and Melissa Rodriguez. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years; Vanessa, children; Robert Foster, Doug (Linda) Foster, and Sarah (Brett Brenzikofer) Foster, siblings; Ruby Katy Releford, Nancy (Dave) Danler, Allen (Monica) Foster, David Christianson, and Jennifer (John) Cook, grandchildren; Jacob (Mercedes) Huffman, Alyssa Huffman, Maryssa Huffman, and 13 great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at The Pavilion at Madison Avenue Central Park in Derby, Kansas on June 2nd, 2026 at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to Kansas Special Olympics.
