Helen “Ann” Attebery passed away peacefully in Wichita, KS at Wesley Hospital surrounded by her loved ones, January 18th, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on May 10, 1948, in Wichita, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Helen Hastings, and her sister, Glendena Kelly.
She is survived by her spouse of 57 years, Orval “Charlie” Attebery, their two daughters, Tammy Adams (Justin) and Crystal Griffiths (Paul), her siblings, Sonny Hastings (Charlotte), D.J. Hastings (Kathy), and Maxine Rossiter, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many additional nieces, nephews, cousins, whom she adored.
She touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for family and friends. She was dedicated to her work with the United States Postal Service, finally retiring after 27 years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her memories they created together will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A service in celebration of Helen “Ann” Attebery's life will be held on February 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 47th Street Church of Christ, Wichita, Kansas.
