Imogene Smith Beat, 95, passed away peacefully on March 10th, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Anness, KS, to Walter & Fern Smith on March 28th, 1928. She was one of 10 children & mother of two boys: Gary & Terry Voth. Imogene grew up working on the family farm, ran a dry-cleaning business, & retired from Cargill after 25 years. She is best remembered for her witty charm & tremendous sense of humor. She enjoyed hosting family dinners & watching her grandkids activities. Her hobbies included fishing, golfing, flowers, and a love for KU basketball and her church home. She is preceded in death by her parents Walter & Fern; 6 brothers, Arthur, Claude, Glen, Max, Dale & Clyde; 3 sisters, Lorene, Pauline, & Bonnie Lou; her son Terry Voth & great granddaughter Leah Overlees.She is survived by son Gary (Theo) Voth, daughter-in-law Paula Voth; grandchildren Angie Overlees, Shane Overlees, Aaron Voth, Matt (Aly) Voth, Kate (Matt) Rohr, Brooke (Eric) B rown; Great grandkids Taylor (Gabe), Logan, Harrison, Jack, Landry, Hank, Luke, Ava, Olivia, Nina, & Cecil. Great great grandchild Dutton. Visitation with family 5-7 pm Sun, March 17th Wulf Ast Mortuary, Garden Plain, KS. Services 10 am Mon, March 18th @ Trinity United Christian Church, Cheney, KS.
