GODDARD - Staab, Irwin A., 80, retired teacher, died Dec. 12, 2012. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Colwich; Rosary 7 p.m. Friday, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Goddard with Father Michael Nolan officiating; Funeral Mass 2:30 p.m. Saturday, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Andale with Father Joseph Gile officiating; interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Andale. Mr. Staab was born July 30, 1932, in Hays, Kan. to the late Albert and Cherubim (Giebler) Staab. He was a veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus. On Sept. 4, 1976, he married M. Zoraida Gonzalez in Venezuela. Survivors: wife, Zoraida; sons, Julian (Ashley) of Lincoln, Neb., Jonathan of Norfolk, Va., Justin of Wichita; daughter, Janelle (Darryl) Browning of Rose Hill; brother, Marion of Hays; sisters, Mary Jane Lang of Hays, Irma Staab of Catherine, Arlene Clyncke, Rose Ann Seader both of Louisville, Colo, Patty Staab of Russell; 3 grandchildren. Memorial established with South America Missions.
