James Seiwert

James M. Seiwert, 85, passed away on November 6th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 13, 1938, to John and Clara Seiwert in Goddard, Kansas. James married Connie (Clasen) on April 20,1963 and together they had three children, David, Daniel and Denise. James was a long-time farmer and after retiring from farming worked as a custodian at Garden Plain High School. He enjoyed taking his kids fishing and hunting in his younger years and working cattle. James was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Seiwert; son, Daniel Seiwert; sisters, Virginia Masterson, and Joanne McGreevy; brothers, Gene Seiwert, Richard Seiwert and Wayne Seiwert.

James is survived by wife, Connie Seiwert; son David Seiwert; daughter, Denise Johnson (Greg Simon); sister, Bernice Dennis; brother, Dennis (Vonnie) Seiwert.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s of Aleppo in Garden Plain, Kansas with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary starting at 10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 13, 2023.
