James "Gomez" Antrim Obituary

                        James “Gomez” Seth Antrim, 63, of Norton, KS passed away on March 22, 2026 at the

                        Norton County Hospital in Norton, KS.  James was born May 15, 1962 in Riverdale,

                        Maryland to John and Virginia (White) Antrim, Sr.  He moved to Norton, Kansas in 1971 with

                        his parents and brother, J.W., where he attended the Norton Schools and graduated from

                        Norton Community High School in 1980.  After deciding photography school was too

                        expensive, Gomez returned home where he bartended and worked at the Norton State

                        Hospital.  In 1981 he enlisted in the United States Navy with the support of his Father.

                       He was stationed in Peral Harbor, HI and was Honorably Discharged in May of 1982

                        after slipping on lava rock, falling 50 feet and breaking his wrist.  He then went to work for

                        the Kansas Department of Transportation on the Paint Crew and eventually became the

                        Supervisor, where he worked for 27 years.  He married Tami Boller in December of 1992

                        and they later divorced.  After an accident while working for the KDOT, he retired at the

                        age of 55 and began his life of playing golf daily, camping at the lake and traveling to

                        Florida and many other places spending time with family and friends.  He was living his

                        absolute best life.

                        He is survived by his girlfriend, Connie Holliday of Great Bend, KS, his children, Amanda

                        (Parker) of Lexington, KY, Seth of Downs, KS and stepdaughter Morgan (Jordan) of

                        Beloit, KS.  siblings, Meredith Jenkins, Gastonia, NC, Olive Evans, Norton, KS, Mona (Mike)

                        Coffey, Norton, KS, Billie (Tom), Pittsville, MD and J.W. (Lori), Hays, KS. bonus children,

                        TC (Tricia) Holliday, Trey (Katie) Holliday, Kirstin (Erik) Bloom all of Salina, KS.

                        Six grandchildren, Carter, Myles, Lily, Maddox, Jonah and Grayson. Nine bonus grandchildren,

                        Josalynn, Kaleb, Jaylynn, Nateah, Grayson, Dru, Ridley, Emmett and Palmer.  Many nieces

                        and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

                        He is preceded in death by his Parents, Sister, Lita Arehart, Brother, Shawn Antrim,

                        Brother-in-laws, Carrell Jenkins and Wally Evans, nephews, Michael Coffey and Darrell Jenkins,

                        two bonus grandchildren, Parker and Alizah.

                       Services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning with Military Honors by the

                       Harmonson-Redd Post 63 at the Norton Cemetery at 11:00 AM, followed by lunch at the

                       Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 3288 and a Celebration of Life Service at the Prairie Dog Golf

                       Course at 4:20 PM.

                       Memorials can be made to the Harmonson-Redd American Legion Post 63, 307 S. 2nd Ave,

                       Norton, KS 67654.
