James "Jim" Kevin Nellans

James (a.k.a Jim) Kevin Nellans was born January 14th, 1962 to Tom and Faye Nellans. He grew up on a farm outside of Peabody, Kansas, spending his days helping on the farm, fishing and getting into as much mischief as he could.

James became a single father in 1984 when he welcomed his daughter Melissa. He worked as a truck driver and other jobs supporting his daughter.  He enjoyed attending 81 speedway as he always had a passion for race cars. He married his wife Pamela August 14th, 1999. In 2001 they welcomed their son Kevin. James was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Especially his four granddaughters Katie, Brooklyn, Alexis and Skylar. James left this earth May  30th, 2025.

Preceding him in death: parents, Tom and Faye Nellans; Siblings, Mary Lou McPherson and Billy Jo Nellans; In-laws and Jim and Gerry Hampton. Survivors include: wife, Pamela Nellans of Newton; Daughter, Missy Jo Linscheid of Newton; Son, Kevin Nellans and fiancé Alyssa Stilwell of Newton; Sister, Phyllis Nellans of Newton; and 4 granddaughters. He will be very missed by his family.
