Jeanette Mohr Obituary

Jeanette Lucille Mohr, aged 75, passed away on September 16, 2024, in Wichita, KS. Born on February 22, 1949, Jeanette dedicated 32 years of her career to Southwestern Bell as a Data Base Clerk in Operator Services. After retiring, she and her spouse, Greg Mohr, embarked on a new venture together, cleaning new construction homes, which allowed them to work side by side.


Jeanette was a graduate of Andale High School in Andale, Kansas. Her commitment to family and community shined brightly through her various activities. A devout member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wichita, KS, she found solace and fulfillment in her faith.


Her hobbies reflected her love for life and family. An avid photographer, Jeanette cherished capturing moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was deeply involved in their lives, never missing a significant event and always ready to entertain them with numerous activities on the farm, including crafts, games, and gardening. Her home was a hub of joy, filled with books, toys, and laughter, where she spent countless hours tending to her vegetable garden and flower beds.


Jeanette is survived by her loving spouse, Greg Mohr; her sons, Jesse May and Travis (Nikki) May; daughters, Julie (Klaus) Mueller and Rachel (Shaun) McPhail; and 11 grandchildren, Jordan (Ben Bailiff), Logan McPhail, Ryan (Brenda) May, Robin May, Tate (Ashley) May, Carter May, Jaxen McPhail, Lily May, Emery May, Cady McPhail, and Maggie McPhail. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Dayton and Grayson, as well as her siblings, Robert (Sherry) Robben, Wanda Winter, Jane (Wayne) Knoblauch, Greg Robben, Donna (Gary) McGonigle, and Mike (Tammie) Robben; and sister-in-law, Diane Winter.


Preceding her in death were her parents, Regina and Ernie Robben; her first husband, Ron May; her sister, Mary Kay (Dick) Preisser; and brother-in-law, Bobby Winter.
Jeanette's legacy of love, dedication, and vibrant spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.

The rosary will be said at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024 and Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Wichita. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to Shriner’s Hospital for Children (4400 Clayton Ave. St. Louis, MO 63110)  Wulf-Ast Mortuary was entrusted with services for Jeanette.
