Jerome "Jerry" Frank Obituary

Jerome "Jerry" Arthur Frank passed away at the age of 71 on January 24, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on March 7, 1953, to Maynard and Patricia Frank in Smith Center, Kansas, Jerry was the oldest of two children.  He was proceeded in death by his parents Maynard and Patricia and survived by one brother, Greg and wife Tammy, 7 nieces and nephews, 16 great nieces and nephews, 3 great-great nieces and nephews and his Wichita family of close friends.  Jerry dedicated over 35 years of his career to Southwestern Bell (SWB)/AT&T in the engineering construction department, a role in which he was highly respected and valued.  During his early career at SWB/AT&T Jerry also was a singing waiter at Judge Riggs in Wichita.  He held a solo position at Wichita’s United Methodist Church for many years, sharing his beautiful tenor voice.

Jerry was an alumnus of Southwestern College, a place that held significant importance in his life, so much so that a memorial has been established in his honor with Southwestern College.

Known for his vibrant personality, Jerry was the life of any gathering. His quick wit and jovial nature made him a delightful presence. He had a profound love for music, particularly musicals, and knew almost every song and score by heart, often sharing this passion with friends and family. Beyond his musical talents, Jerry cherished moments spent with his loved ones and his pets, who were a central part of his life.  Jerry enjoyed his many trips to Minnesota with family during the summers as well as annual trips to Colorado, a place he loved to visit.

A graveside service will be held in Smith Center, Kansas, with the date to be announced later. Contributions in memory of Jerry can be made to the Southwestern College Institutional Advancement, 100 College Street, Winfield, Kansas 67156.  Please add Frank Memorial Choir Fund (in the memo area).  This memorial is established to reflect his lifelong support and passion for the musical arts.
