John Carl Grassau Jr.

John C. Grassau Jr., 80, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. John was born on March 7, 1946 to John C. and Mary Louise Grassau  Sr. in Omaha, Neb. John was blessed with a great sense of humor and a very kind heart as so many friends can attest to. Sadly he developed Parkinsons approximately 13 years ago and yet he still handled it with determination and grace. He fought the good fight. He was a wonderful example of courage for those around him.

John was preceded in death by his parents; John and Mary Louise Grassau Sr. and his brother; Gary. He is survived by his loving wife; Susan, daughters; Carolyn, Tamara and son; Scott, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A visitation with family present will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., both at Ascension Lutheran Church. Luncheon to follow.
