John Paul Schaar

John Paul Schaar, 56, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his parents; Merle Henry and Mary Jean Schaar and sister Rhonda.  John is survived by his siblings; Shelly (Jeff) Norris and Andy (Michelle) Schaar and nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held at Faith Church, 325 N. Emporia, Valley Center, Kansas at 11:00 a.m. on October 23, 2024.

John was born in Saugus, California on September 13, 1968.  He worked at Textron as a Senior Trainer for aircraft assembly.  As we all know, John was a passionate car enthusiast, heck every time we would get together for a family event or holiday, there would be a new car in the driveway and we would all just say “John must have got a new car” and laughed.  When we would ask him about it, he would always say “Ya wanna drive it and throw you the keys or hop in let’s go for a ride”.

His ultimate passion was Golf and he followed in his Dads footsteps and became an active member at Derby Golf & Country Club. John’s accolades as a Golfer are far too many to mention, but he was always surrounded by great friends and always had a great time with them. In addition, John was a Golf Coach at Sunrise Academy where he loved sharing his passion for Golf with the kids.

John will be truly missed and he was loved by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing and spending time with him.
