Joyce Ann Szucs

A life well lived, we celebrate and honor the beautiful life of Joyce Ann Szucs. Joyce will be remembered for her bright, loving, and welcoming spirit. She knew no stranger and had the uncanny ability to make each person she met feel as if they were her lifelong friend. Her smile brought warmth to every room, her laughter was contagious and her joy for life was unbound. She had a passion for travel and new experiences and always aimed to make the most of what life had to offer. Joyce’s greatest pride in life was the beautiful family and community she built, all of whom she loved selflessly and unconditionally. All who will deeply miss and continue to love her in return. 

Joyce Ann Szucs, 54, of Wichita, passed away on January 20, 2025 in her home surrounded by loved ones after battling pancreatic cancer. Joyce was born on July 12, 1970 to Pong Means in South Korea. At the age of 4, she moved to the United States with her mother. After Joyce graduated from high school, she moved to Manhattan, KS to study at Kansas State University. In Manhattan, she met her loving husband Sandor of 32 years, and began her family, going on to have sons Jozsef & Tristian.  Joyce was predeceased by her mother, Pong.  She is survived by her husband, Sandor, her sons, Jozsef (along with wife, Brette) & Tristian (along with partner, Sable), and countless other brokenhearted members of her family and friends.  

A private service will be held to honor Joyce’s life at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton’s church on February 1, 2025. Rosary at 10, funeral mass to follow at 10:20. Joyce requested that colors be worn at her funeral to celebrate her life rather than mourn her loss.
