On Sunday, November 30, 2025, Judy, 84, of Wichita, went to join her beloved husband RIchard, on the moon. She was born on July 29, 1941 in Davenport, Iowa. Judy was a journalism major at Iowa State University until transferring to Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. She was a proud Delta Zeta throughout her life. She was a wiz at Arts and Crafts and enjoyed bringing the holidays to life. Judy had many life long friends and enjoyed meeting and speaking with people.
An entire generation of Wichitan's knew her as "Miss Judy" as she taught babies and children alike how to swim. This, was her passion and mission in life. Later, Judy moved her talents to her contemporaries as she taught arthritis classes in the water.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelly; son, Bill (Cena); grandchildren, Kati (Josue), Janelle (Keithon), Scott (Jess), Joseph (Mikala), and Jameson; great-granddaughters, Olive and Emery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local YMCA or Rec Center Swim programs in her name.
A memorial service will be held in the spring.
