Judith “Judy” Elaine (Best) Maxfield, 78, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024. She graduated in 1964 from Burrton High School and finished her career, retiring from State Farm Insurance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ray and Ruth Best, siblings Lynn (Salmon) Bayles, and Robert (and friend) Best and brother-in-law Trav Biehler.
Judy is survived by her children; Monica Ruth (Tracy) Hoskins and Mark Maxfield, one grandchild, Morgan (Tyler Couch) Hoskins; 2 great-grandchildren, Avery and Aaron Couch; siblings Patty (Joe) Biehler Harman and Harlan (Patti) Best.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 9th, 2024, in the chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1602 N. Main St., Hutchinson, KS, at 11:00 am, presided by Dr. Rev. Kim Biery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to either the American Lung Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
