Kelly Fay Hall, 62, entered the kingdom of heaven on Saturday February 1st, 2025. He passed over at his home in Eldorado, KS that he shared with his devoted wife, loving granddaughter, and furry four-legged companion, Sassy. Knowing that he is with the Lord, peaceful and healthy should serve as a comfort to those who were with him on his long and valiant fight with cancer. He suffers no more. “I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life” -John 5:24. Kelly was born on July 19, 1962 at Providence medical center in Kansas City, Kansas to Tim and Lorene Detrick (Wilson). He graduated from Turner high school and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1982. He served as a Gunners mate on the USS America until his honorable discharge in 1985.
In 1993, while he was working construction, Kelly met a blonde bombshell hairstylist named, Angie Siragusa in Bonner Springs, KS. They quickly fell in love and eventually married on October 31, 2003 blending their two families into one. He brought with him 4 sons, and Angie her infant daughter, who he later adopted as his own. Kelly and Angie lived in Kansas City Kansas until the fall of 2019.
Kelly was sick for a long time and with respect to those years, we want him to be remembered as the hardworking and outgoing man he was before his diagnoses as well. He enjoyed spending time with friends, family and neighbors who he considered family and cared for deeply. He loved drinking beer, Miller highlife to be exact, hanging out in the garage he built; socializing, watching games and fights, playing cards and carrying on in true Kelly Hall spirit. He was an avid hunter of deer, pheasant, turkey, morel mushrooms, and wild asparagus and loved to go fishing. He loved animals and had many dogs throughout his life but especially loved his English pointers. He had many jobs in his years but his most cherished was being Papa and helping raise his granddaughter, who he called Yaya.
He was a true patriot and a proud US Navy veteran. In his final years he was heavily involved in many political online platforms and became very knowledgeable in those spaces. He connected with many from around the country and made some great friends along the way.
Kelly wasn’t a perfect man and never tried to be. What you saw is what you got, he was rough around the edges, opinionated and stubborn as hell but he had a huge heart, and he was a true and good man. His presence always made his family feel safe and loved. He will be profoundly missed. “Don’t let your hearts be troubled, Trust in God and trust also in me, there is more than enough room in my father’s home, if this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am” John 14:1-3.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Angela; children Wes (Tammy) Haught, A.J. (Chelsea) Haught, Eric (Charity) Hall, Colt (Stephanie) Hall, Tori Hall; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings Keri Tuckness and Kris (Janae) Hall; and Mother Lorene (Don) Wilson. He was preceded in death by his brother Kevin and sister-in-law Kathy Hall, his dad Tim Detrick.
Kelly will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
