Preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Doris Ann, sister Anna Marie, brother-in-law Glenn Knoblauch, Grandparents William and Aurelia Seiwert, Peter and Anna Martin.
25+ years of dedicated service to Koch Industries and the North Pole.
Joined the Knights of Columbus when he was 18 years old and was a 3rd Degree Grand Knight and 4th Degree Faith Navigator. Recruited 6 family members to the 4th Degree and influenced many more to join the Knights of Columbus. Kevin organized and led the color guard in all the local parades and traveled the State of Kansas coordinating Knights of Columbus 4th Degree initiations.
Kevin was a talented and meticulous woodworker, he built a roll-top desk in high school, impressive scroll work, many porch swings, and the well-known “Our Father Prayer” scrollwork.
Kevin lived a full life, his smile radiated and you always knew of his presence within a room. He enjoyed going to auctions and poultry sales, was a fanatic Pepsi collector and he purchased enough pop machines to leave one to each of his nieces and nephews.
He always had an open door and you didn’t leave his house without a dozen eggs. Kevin was quick witted and always had a catch phrase, never met a stranger and gave his favorites a beloved nickname. Snuck in “licks” and taught the kids all the good stuff! Kevin was the keeper of traditions; wreath making, polka music, bread runs, 4th of July at the Farm and kept up the family calendar with everyone’s birthday/anniversaries.
Christmas was his favorite time of year, back in the day you could see the farm and his house for a few miles, he kept a yearlong Christmas countdown and he gifted Christmas decorations for many wedding gifts.
Rest easy good and faithful servant. We won’t forget you.
“Let me rest, drink some beer and whiskey. Please don’t forget me. Love you all.” - Kevin
