In Loving Memory of Korbin James Anderson
Our Forever Peter Pan
May 6, 2007 – July 28, 2025
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Korbin James Anderson, who left this world far too soon at the young age of only 18. Though his time here was brief, Korbin lived with a depth and soulfulness that touched every life he encountered.
Korbin’s very arrival on this earth was a surprise — unexpected, unplanned, but deeply cherished from the very beginning. A gift no one saw coming, but everyone quickly realized they couldn’t imagine life without. He was the first son, the first grandson, the first great-nephew — the one who made his mother a mother, a woman, and an adult, all in one breath.
An old soul in a young body, Korbin was full of passion, compassion, and authenticity. He never tried to be anyone but himself. He saw people fully and included everyone without hesitation. Korbin didn’t just show love — he was love. He was selfless to the core, often giving more than he had, always showing up with a quiet strength that made people feel safe, seen, and accepted.
Korbin loved deeply — especially his family. He was the best big brother that three younger boys could ever dream of having. From changing their diapers in the hospital to being their fiercest protector and biggest fan, he helped raise them with tenderness and wisdom well beyond his years. He didn’t just care for them — he helped his momma parent them. It was always him and her against the world!
His kindness reached far beyond his home. Korbin showed up for others without being asked, simply because it was who he was. He rode to the hospital multiple days over several weeks with his elderly neighbor so that man could sit beside his dying wife. He brought smoothies to his Great Aunts, mother-in-law — a woman he barely knew — just to offer comfort when his Aunt couldn’t be there. Whether it was family, friends, or someone who just needed a gentle soul nearby, Korbin was there. Always present. Always giving.
He adored his mother beyond words. In so many ways, he mirrored her — in spirit, in style, in the light that radiated from him. Even as he was finding his own way in the world, he never strayed far from her side. That bond was unshakable.
Korbin just wanted to be accepted — to be free, to be himself without explanation. And even though he struggled to understand why life sometimes felt so heavy, he carried it all with grace and a quiet hope that never quite dimmed. He was our Peter Pan — brilliant, beautiful, a little afraid of growing up, and deeply loved by all who knew him.
Korbin is survived by a family who will never stop loving him — his parents Joshua and Melissa Anderson, and his brothers Hunter, Jace and Chevy Anderson. His brother Jullian Radcliff and family. He was adored by his stepfather; Chance Barlow and he often said that Emily Barlow was the sister he always wished for. Let us not forget “Stitch” his cat! He will be deeply grieved by his devoted grandparents Robert and Janel Sanford. Many have made memories with him including his Great-grandfather James Commerford, Great Aunt Kristen Smith, Great Uncles, Jimmy Commerford and Randy Livingston. Uncles, Timothy and Daniel Livingston and Andrew Sanford, Aunt Alissa Fowler and the “OG” cousins Rylie Jo Fowler and Jackson Cash Livingston. Korbin was a lucky kid with many extended families of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends and chosen family who were all better for having known him. **Ohana**
In honor of Korbin, may we all strive to love a little deeper, show up a little more, and never underestimate the power of just being there.
Fly free, Korbin. You are forever our brightest star.
Korbin was welcomed in Heaven by his cousin Karsyn Young, his Great-Grandmother Sandy Commerford, Great-Grandfather Steve Livingston and his Great Uncle Terry Smith. WOW- What a fantastic circle of loving arms to go home to.
