Lawrence E. “Butch” Kemp, 88, of Kingman, died on March 3, 2026. Mr. Kemp was born January 26, 1938 in Kingman to Marvin Joe & Hilia Elizabeth (Strickland) Kemp.
Butch loved being outdoors, in the mountains of Idaho with family and friends. He did a lot of camping, hunting and gold prospecting. In Kansas he enjoyed his long rides to the lake.
Preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; two brothers.
Survived by his daughters, Deborah Kemp, Patricia Zimmerman, Marilyn (Dan) Jennings, Karen “Joey” Kemp, Shelli (Scott) King; twenty-one grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
At the request of the family there will be no public viewing, Lawrence’s wishes were for cremation. Inurnment will be in the Cleveland Cemetery at a later time.
