Linda L. Ast

Linda's life began on February 9, 1949, in Wichita. She was the daughter of Harlan and Lois Uhrich. Linda passed away June 17, 2024, at her home having reached the age of 75 years old. She was united in marriage to Gary Ast on June 8th 1968, in Wichita. Linda was always the hostess for several Halloween and Christmas parties for family and friends. She loved spending time at the lake camping and boating with family. Linda retired from Boeing in 2004 as a parts specialist. After retirement, she enjoyed being a foster mom and later moved to Camp Tawakoni with Gary to be camp hosts. She spent many hours working in the camp kitchen and made several friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary and her parents Harlan and Lois Uhrich. Her loving family includes: son John (Natali) Ast Jr. of Wichita; daughters Amy (Albert) Lee of Leonardville and Kristen (Darold) Larcade of Belle Plaine; sisters Vicki (Mike) Macon, Cathy (Gary) Stratton, Renee (Phil) Horner, and LaRee Uhrich; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-grandchildren. She had so many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Linda because they were all her favorite. Her family will gather with friends for a memorial visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and the funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22nd, led by Pastor Bob Gleason, at Woodridge Christian Church, 12111 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67206. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Woodridge Christian Church, 12111 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67206.
