Linda Chambers Obituary

Linda Lee Chambers life was a beacon of warmth and wisdom who passed away on Tuesday, 06 August 2024, in her hometown of Wichita Kansas. Born to Wilma and Lee Roy (Sonny) Cox in 1951, Linda’s life was a tapestry of love and commitment to family.

Linda’s journey began in Wichita Kansas, where she grew up with her brother, Larry Cox. Her childhood was filled with the simple joys of Midwestern life, which laid the foundation for her nurturing spirit. After graduating from South High School in 1969, she became a bookkeeper for Thompson Hayward and later Harcross Chemical until she retired in 2015.

In 1971 Linda’s heart found its counterpart in Kenneth Chambers. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, celebrated in a quaint ceremony in Wichita, Kansas. Together, they raised two remarkable children: Michael & Melissa who were Kenny and Linda’s pride and joy.

Once retired Linda’s life was rich with hobbies. Her sewing room was a vibrant oasis filled with quilting, and crocheting, her crossword as well as Sudoku skills were unmatched, and her collection of unique hand blown glass baskets were legendary which was a testament for her keen eye for perfection.

Her children will forever cherish Linda’s laugh and comforting words. Her famous egg and cheese sauce as well as hand-knitted items were woven with love. Linda’s commitment to extending a helping hand to those in need was a quality that shined throughout her life.

Linda’s memory is honored by her children, Michael and Melissa; and her two grandchildren.

‍Linda Chambers life was a melody of love—a tune that will resonate in the hearts of those she touched forever.
