Linda Kay Jones, a beloved member of the Sedgwick community, passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 75.

Linda dedicated her life to education, serving as a special education teacher. However, her influence went beyond her role as she helped and tutored numerous students throughout her life. She had a special gift for connecting with people and was loved by many for her boisterous and friendly personality.

One of Linda's passions was the outdoors. She found solace and joy in her waterfall and spent time nurturing her plants and flowers. Her love for nature was evident to all who knew her.

Linda is survived by her son, James Howard (Shirley Stein) Jones of Colwich, KS, and their three children, Jessica (Ethan Chapman), Tyler (Kaylee), and Desyrae and 4 great grandchildren: Braxton, Brooklyn, Briley (Jessica), and Ellie (Tyler). She is also survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Brooks (Rich), and her two children, Aaryn Bradley and Claire Brooks. Additionally, Linda is survived by her two brothers, Wayne (Glenda) Moudy and Allen (Pauline) Moudy, and her two sisters, Wynona (Mike) Dodd and Norma (Lynn) Timmons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Maxine Moudy, her brothers Clarence (Florene) Moudy, Walt (Margerite) Moudy, and Larry Moudy, as well as her sister Ernestine Moudy.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.

A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held at Plymouth Congregational Church in Sedgwick, KS on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10am. Following the service, a lunch reception will take place at the reception hall at the church.
