COLWICH - Gruenbacher, Louis Leo, 91, farmer, died May 10, 2014. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wulf-Ast Mortuary; Rosary 5 p.m. Tuesday; Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Ken Schuckman officiating. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Mr. Gruenbacher was born Aug. 8, 1922, in Murdock, Kan., to Oscar and Ludwena (Gerber) Gruenbacher. On April 22, 1947, he married Cathryn Seiler in Colwich. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Preceded in death by parents; wife; daughter, Anita; grandson, Mike Gruenbacher; brothers, Albert and Arthur Gruenbacher; sisters, Dorothy Gruenbacher, Alice Martin, Marie Pierce, Bertha Simon, Inez Seiler. Survivors: son, Ed (Debbie) of Colwich; daughters, Rita (Denis) Robben of Mt. Hope, Doris (Herb) Dick of Moundridge, Mary (Dave) Seiwert of Conway Springs, Helen (Jim) Sisson of Rawlins, Wyo., Jane (Ed) Radatz of Lindsborg, Theresa (Duane) Simon of Wichita, Evelyn (Albert) Osner of Conway Springs; brothers, Walter of Wichita, Cyril of Colwich, Maurice of Placentia, Calif.; sister, Laura Seiler of Colwich; 38 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren.
