Lowell Fairchild Obituary

Lowell Ray Fairchild, 83, farmer, construction and oil field worker, and lifelong Kingman resident passed away on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024. After Lowell graduated high school, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue Racicky, on January 26th, 1963. They had two children together and lived on the family farm for many years of their wonderful marriage.

Lowell believed in honesty, responsibility, hard work, staying true to your word, and grit. Hardly would you find him sitting around. He stayed busy working for the township of Murdock, farming cattle and crops, and attending many events for all of his grandchildren. He cared deeply about family and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Gene and Arlen (Schroff) Fairchild; his wife: Carolyn (Racicky) Fairchild; and brothers: Bob and Mike Fairchild. Lowell is survived by his children: Tim (Tina) Fairchild and Sherrie (Ted) Hoyt; Sister-in-Law: Joe Fairchild; and by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Recitation of the rosary will be said at 6:00 PM on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024. The funeral mass will be Monday, December 23rd, 2024 at 10:00 AM. Both will take place at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kingman County Council of Aging at 305 N. Cedar St., Kingman, KS 67068.
