Born Jan. 7, 1923 in Colwich, KS to John Wappelhorst and Anna Knobbe. Army veteran 87th Infantry Division during the Battle of the Bulge, retired as a carpenter. Married Mary Ann Weber on April 30, 1947 in Aleppo, KS. Hope, Dorothy (Greg) Crumley, Goddard, Rose (Buck) Wright, Cheney, Theresa Smith, Colwich, Barbara (Dan) Benefiel, Wichita, Patty (Ron) Daman, Wichita; sister, Sister Marcellina, Wichita.
