Mary Ann Kelley, a lifelong resident of Wichita, Kansas, passed peacefully on July 17, 2026 with her family by her side.
She was born Mary Ann Canedy on August 24, 1939 in Wichita, Kansas to John Elmo and Helen Loretta (Greep) Canedy. Mary Ann grew up in Valley Center and graduated as Valedictorian from Valley Center High School in 1957.
In May of 1958, she married Doyle Kelley. Mary Ann and Doyle raised two sons, Brad and Jeff.
While raising two sons, Mary Ann also spent several years working with Blue Ridge Bank in Kansas City, Missouri as a bank teller and with Bank IV in Wichita in Accounts Receivable and Credit processing centers.
Some of her fondest memories were of summers spent at little league games score keeping, and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Irene Lacy and Joan Oxendine.
Mary Ann is survived by her brother John Canedy of Augusta, Kansas; sister Jean Mayer of Billings, Montana; her two sons Brad (Helen) Kelley and Jeff (Candace) Kelley, two Grandsons Tyler and Conner Kelley; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with family will be held Monday, August 10, at 10:00am at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Wichita KS.
