ST. MARK - Seiwert, Mary Catherine (Strunk), 85, homemaker, died April 7, 2014, in Wichita. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Colwich; rosary 7 p.m. Thursday; funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Friday, both at St. Mark Catholic Church, Colwich, with Father Thomas Hoisington and Bishop John Brungardt officiating; interment in St. Mark Cemetery. Mrs. Seiwert was born May 24, 1928, in St. Mark, to the late Joseph and Margaret (Mohr) Strunk. On July 13, 1957, she married Clement C. Seiwert in St. Mark. She was a member of the Altar Society. Preceded in death by brothers, Francis, Willie, Raymond; and granddaughter, Lucy. Survivors: husband, Clem; sons, Mark (Patricia), Paul (Ronda) all of Colwich, Father Charles Seiwert of Garden City, Vincent (Wendy) of Wichita, Thomas (My Hoa) of Goddard, Leander (Kori) of Wichita; daughters, Irene (Max) Seiwert of Inadianapolis, Ind., Elizabeth (Allen) Bracken of Berthoud, Colo., Mary Jane Greeson of Goddard; brothers, Paul (Ida) Strunk, Louis Strunk, Tom (Rita) Strunk; sisters, Joan (John) Hemmen, Helen (Leroy) Blasi, Elizabeth (Tim) Stoltz; 21 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to West Sedgwick County Pro-Life.
