Monta G. Luther

Monta G. Luther, 70, of Augusta passed away on December 3, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Bill Luther; Son, Brigg Luther; daughter Karla (Kent) Burris and 2 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Una Reames. Viewing for family and friends will be Monday, December 18 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, at 12:00 pm at Wulf-Ast Mortuary Chapel, Garden Plain, KS. Weather permitting, a brief private graveside gathering will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Garden Plain. In lieu of flowers a memorial in her name to Victory in the Valley can be made at www.victoryinthevalley.org/special-donations.

A Fallen Limb

A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
Continue my heritage, I'm counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don't worry about falls
