Patricia "Patti" Leann (Miller) Keplinger

Patricia Leann “Patti” (Miller) Keplinger, 57, of Garden Plain, went home to Jesus on December 2, 2024. Patti was born on September 29, 1967, in Wichita, Ks to Anita Ann (Petersen) Erickson

and William D. “Bill” Miller Jr..

Patti was raised in Garden Plain, where she graduated with the class of 1986. She was also a 1988 grad of Hutchinson Community College. Following graduation from HCC she attended St. Mary of the Plains College -School of Nursing, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in Journalism in 1990. Patricia practiced as a nurse in both Kansas City and Wichita, where she worked mainly as an operating room nurse.

Patti was involved in the Baptist Church in Cheney, Ks, from a young age, where she

carried her faith with her into her adult years. She also attended the Wichita Church of Christ

through to the end of her days. Patti enjoyed writing, crocheting, baking, and mastering calligraphy. Patti had credited her mentor and late friend, Rose Meredith, for her skills in the arts.

On July 29, 1989, she married Wayne Keplinger in Garden Plain, Ks; this union

consisted of six children and they divorced in 2002.

Patti is survived by their six children: Kyle Keplinger, Tulsa, Ok; Brandon Keplinger (Samantha), Alva, Ok; Kassie Keplinger (Zach), Liberty, Ks; Kaleb Keplinger (Kayla), Duncan, Ok; Jacob Keplinger, Cherryvale, Ks; Brennah Keplinger, Corona, Ca; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings: Arlett Caton, Fullerton, Ca; Phillip Miller, Wichita, Ks; Glenda Turley, Goddard, Ks nieces: Roslynd, RaEllen, Ryanna and Kalie. As well as, a plethora of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Anita Ann (Petersen) Erickson and William D. “Bill” Miller Jr.; Grandparents: Karl and Anna Marie (Heitz) Petersen; and ex-husband Wayne Keplinger.

Patti’s parting words: “If you love someone, tell them, hug them, share with them!”

There will be a memorial service held in her honor on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10:30 am, at the Church of Christ, 4100 Memory Lane, Wichita, Ks, 67212.
