Rita Kay (Clasen) Perkins

Rita Kay Perkins, 66, of Cheney passed away September 3, 2025 in Wichita.

She was born August 6, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Bernard and Barbara (Paulk) Clasen. Rita worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.  She was married James “Jim” D. Perkins. 

Rita is survived by: husband, James D. Perkins; daughters, Lindsay (Jeremy) Holmes and Heather (Robert) Greer; siblings, Ronald (Deanne) Clasen, Terrie (Blake) Scott and Jason Clasen; and 7 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by: parents, Bernard and Barbara; brother, Timothy Clasen; and grandson Braden Alexander.

The rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8, 2025 and mass will follow at 10:30 a.m., both at St. Mark Catholic Church in Colwich.

The family requests that In Lieu Of Flowers, donations be given to St. Mark Catholic Church (19230 W. 29th St. N  Colwich, Kansas 67030).
