She also was a part of the Monday’s Club, and a Bible study group at her church, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Cheney. Roberta enjoyed chickens, she had a house full of chicken décor, she also collected Cherished Teddies, and loved red birds. George Strait was an all-time favorite; Billy took Roberta to see George every time there was a concert in the Wichita area. Roberta loved to go shopping, attending Home Interior, Pampered Chef and Princess House parties. Roberta experienced chronic pain from numerous back surgeries and a neck injury, but she outwardly showed love to others through her laugh, her gifts and precious handwritten cards and notes.
