Rocky Ray Tate

Rocky Ray Tate, age 69, passed away Wednesday, August 21st 2024, in Wichita, Ks. After enduring a battle with undiagnosed and untreated lung cancer that quickly spread everywhere. He wanted to live his life the way he wanted and he did.
 Born July 6th 1955, the son of Sue Mary Tate and Ed Lee Tate. Grew up in Simi Valley Ca where he graduated highschool and then served in the Navy from 72-74.
 He's survived by 2 sisters Robin(George) Tosches 66 of Nevada and Jamie Lynn of Ohio,; 2 daughters Shawna Tate 34 of Kansas and Tara(Andrew) Henning 46 of South Dakota; 9 grandkids; and 6 great-grandkids. Rocky has many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins as well that he grew up with.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, son Clinton Tate 35 of Arizona; Jamie Mumma 29 of Texas; and sisters Vivian Rae Foster 66; Mary Ella/ Nanny
Services will be held to celebrate his life and share his stories in Wichita on March 21st and then again in August he will have a 21 gun salute and honors given to him at the Black Hills National Cemetery in South Dakota.
