Rogene grew up in Andale, KS and endured hardship early in her childhood, losing her Father in World War II, when the USS Hull destroyer ship was lost at sea on December 18th, 1944. She attended Andale High School and then Mount St. Scholastica for a year before marrying her high school sweetheart, Jerome Becker, on October 12, 1957. Together they raised five children in Garden Plain. Through the years you could find her active in her community being part of the founding committee for St. Anthony’s Ballpark or cheering on her kids and grandkids at all of their sporting events. She will be revered as a fun-loving, caring, and wonderful Mom and Grammy.
