Roman Charles Mannebach, age 93, of Colwich, Kansas passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 2, 1932, in Colwich, Roman lived a life rich in love, dedication and service to his family and community.
A lifelong Catholic, Roman was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish. He enjoyed family gatherings, including lake vacations and ski trips, and was known for his great sense of humor. An avid golfer, Roman continued to play into his nineties. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War, forming many friendships with fellow servicemen that endured throughout his life.
Roman was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rosalie, for over 69 years, and a loving father. His legacy lives on through his 8 children, 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and three more great-grandchildren (on the way), all of whom brought him immense joy.
Roman was preceded in death by: his parents, Leo and Barbara (Scheer) Mannebach; brothers, Leo Mannebach, Jr. and Melvin Mannebach; and sisters, Catherine Seiwert and Theresa Deeds.
He is survived by: his wife, Rosalie; his children, Kathy (Donald) Seltenreich, Diane (Scott) Slagle, Mary (Chuck) Scheer, Bill (Michelle) Mannebach, Ann (Dennis) Clupny, Amy (Loren) Clupny, Scott (Sue) Mannebach and John (Amy) Mannebach; and all of his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The rosary will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025 and the funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2025 both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Colwich. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Sacred Heart Catholic Church (311 S. 5th St. Colwich, KS 67030) and Phoenix Home Care and Hospice (3450 N Rock Rd Bldg. 200, Suite 213, Wichita, KS 67226).
