Ronald E. Speck

Ron Speck passed away January 21st, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born in Wichita, KS. He was proceeded in death by his mother. Betty L. Barton and her husband, James G. Barton. He is survived by 1 brother and 2 sisters: Mike Fugate, Linda Kreuzburg (Kavin), and Cindy Rodriguez. He has 1 daughter, Stephanie Moore, and 2 grandchildren, Christopher and Mary Moore. He is also survived by his Neice Brenda Rodriguez ( Christopher Trimmell) and Nephew James Michael Rodriguez ( Karen Scaia) and their two sons James Lee Michael Rodriguez and Michael Marks. Ron had numerous other neices and nephews. He enlisted into the Marines from 1981 to 1987. Ron graduated from Maize High School in 1976. After attending business college, he started working at Maize High School. For over two decades Ron served many roles at MHS. Roles that included Head Boys Soccer Coach and the first ever Head Coach for Girls Soccer team in 1993. He received Kansas Coach of the year in 1999. In his final years, those who knew him best were grateful for the laughter and his unique sense of humor. Services are pending
