Sarah "Jane" (Doty) Mayes

Born January 22 1938 to Nellie Clair Poland, and Cash Clayton Doty, both precede her in death.
Gone  to our Lord January 11th of 2024.

Married to Joseph A Mayes October 4th 1952.
Became a mother to Vickie Lynn Mayes January 7th 1961.
Both Joe and Vickie precede her in death.

Sarah Jane was sister to Robert Franklin, Laura Viola,  Amy Gertrude, and Molly Clair
Of whom precede her in Death.  And also sister to Nellie Ann, Betty May and Bonnie Ruth all of whom survive.

She worked at Alco, Pratt Reginal Medical Center, and Pratt Community College from where she retired, then spent many evenings going to bingo with her nieces and sister.

She was a member of The Abundant Harvest Nazarene church in Pratt Ks.

Memories shared by her niece Cynthia: Aunt Jane always told me she wanted a lot of children,  unfortunately, she would only have 1 child whom she loved very much.  But she loved all of her nieces and nephews and would love having them stay during vacation from school.  I bet many many nieces remember staying with Aunt Jane, and some of the nephews too.
I remember coming to Kansas for vacation and staying at Aunt Janes, having fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn....
But what I remember most is her loving heart.
