Shirley Ellen (Johnson) Smith

Shirley Ellen Smith, 92, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Shirley was born on July 5, 1931 in Burdette, Kansas, the daughter of Johnnie and Ina (McElwain) Johnson.  Visitation will be on Thursday, November 16th from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wulf-Ast Mortuary--Garden Plain Chapel with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.. A celebration of Shirley's life will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 17th at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Cheney, Kansas. Shirley is survived by her daughters; Dixie (Stonewall) Bishop of Aurora, CO.; Tammie (Mike) Stramel of South Hutchinson, KS and Marilyn (Daryl) Keller of Cheney, KS. Son; Jon Smith of Denver, CO., daughter-in-law; Nancy Smith of Cheney, KS. 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by by her husband; Leon "Smitty" of 67 years and her son; Michael and parents and siblings.
