Susan Elaine (Duncan) Osborn

Susan Elaine Osborn (Duncan) of Wichita, KS passed away on August 17, 2024. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Sue and Jim Duncan, her brother, Jeff Duncan, her nephews Gerrit and Bill Hamilton, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She’s survived by her children, Rebecca Osborn, James Osborn (Christie), and Seth Osborn; her grandchildren Ian Osborn, Lela Osborn, Kendra Osborn, and her bonus granddaughter Amelia Turner; her siblings Larry Hamilton (Cheryl), Amy Mendez (TBD), Scott Duncan (Leslie), and sister-in-law Erin Duncan; as well as her nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her great-aunt and many cousins.

Susan lived a life full of love, laughter, and joy. She loved her kids, her grandkids, all her family, and every one of her dear friends. The sheer number of people who have a story about her is sometimes unbelievable. She’s often remembered for her bright smile that could light up a room. She was a friend to everyone, there wasn’t anyone she couldn’t make a connection with. Her friends describe her as the encyclopedia of their graduating class from North High School and she was a proud graduate of the class of ‘78. She was also an income tax extraordinaire, and so many of her tax clients quickly turned to friends. She was also a BTS ARMY and truly adored Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook.

Susan was such a bright light for so many people that it’s difficult to believe she’s left us. She touched so many lives, she will be missed by so many people, and she will be loved forever. 

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Odd Fellows Hall 930 W. Douglas, S-1 Wichita, Kansas.
