Ted J. Gorges

ST. MARK - Gorges, Ted J., 69, retired farmer, dairyman, and Dubuque Packing, died Jan. 11, 2013. Visitation at the family home. Rosary 7 p.m. Monday; funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, both at St. Mark Catholic Church, St. Mark, with Father Tom Hoisington officiating. Born on Aug. 13, 1943, in Wichita, to the late Otto and Helen (Breitenbach) Gorges. On Aug. 3, 1968, he married Sheila Simon Gorges. Preceded in death parents; wife, Sheila; and brother, Steve. Survivors: son, Sterling of St. Mark; daughters, Tammy (Mark) Kerschen of Garden Plain, Crystal (Derek) Grimes of St. Mark; brothers, Bill (Florence) of Schulte, Jim (Judy) of Wichita, Ron (Ruth) of Ost, Dick, Ken (Rose) all of Colwich; sisters, Mary Lou (Bart) Mohr of Okla., Rosie (Tom) Youngers of Wash.; grandchildren, Cale, Beau, Cali and Kyri Kerschen, Brooke, Hunter and Taylor Grimes. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Building Fund. Wulf-Ast Mortuary, Colwich.
